Bio
Hey, I'm S. J. Rosson, children’s author, reading specialist, and blogger. I've published my first children's picture book, The Lamb, and it is available now. This story comes at a time when children need to hear a positive message about unconditional love and its redeeming work. I've weaved basic math concepts into the story as well.
I earned my Bachelor's in Liberal Arts with an emphasis in elementary education from Regis University summa cum laude. While attending Regis University, I focused on reading intervention and was awarded a Certificate in Literacy. I applied evidence-based reading strategies, and created many of my own, to help children from preschool through middle school love to read. If you're interested in my reading strategies, send me an email, and I'll send you my online reading course, designed for parents and tutors, 3 Easy Steps to Reading Success.
I publish a weekly children's blog titled, Jacob Chronicles Kids. The first issue in volume one was released Sunday, August 21, 2022. There will be fifty-two issues in this volume. Jacob Chronicles Kids features a biblical hero, Bible verse, and story. These weekly issues, published every Sunday evening, are designed for adults and their children, ages 5 through 11, to read and discuss together.
I'm an alumna of diyMFA, an MFA-style writing program that gave me the encouragement and tools needed to pick up the pen in 2018 and return to writing.
I’m currently working on Lily of the Valley, a picture book for
children ages 5-9. Are you interested in helping crowdfund
Lily of the Valley?

When I’m not writing, I’m reading a book, or spending time with my
two amazing grandchildren.
Short Bio: I write stories.
