"Lily of the Valley is a well-crafted tale of a tenacious little gosling who goes against the herd−or, gaggle−to follow her dreams. The elegant simplicity of Rosson's prose, along with Lan's playful illustrations, masks a profound message of courageous determination. The book is an absolute delight."

Bio
I’m S. J. Rosson, and I write stories.

My love for books and storytelling began when I was a preschooler sitting on my mom’s lap in her rocking chair. She opened the pages of a picture book, the retelling of the story of David and Goliath, and began to read. From then on, I loved reading books. I loved writing books. And, when I grew up, I loved teaching children to love to read books as much as I do.

My love for teaching children to read led me to earning my Bachelor of Liberal Arts, with an emphasis in elementary education, from Regis University, summa cum laude. While attending Regis University, I focused on reading intervention and was awarded a Certificate in Literacy.
I have a video course for parents and tutors of children ages 3-7 on my YouTube channel titled, 3 Easy Steps in 20 Minutes a Day to Encourage Reading at Home. This course features my favorite reading strategies that I used to help young readers love to read.

I love writing stories. Through the power of story, I seek to engage young readers' imaginations to experience adventures through characters with which they can identify, opening their minds to new discoveries and possibilities.

My life-long love for Biblical stories, rich with adventure, intrigue, and lessons about God’s character, prompted me to publish a children’s blog titled, Jacob Chronicles Kids. Each blog features a Bible verse, Biblical hero, and story based on the verse and the hero. Once completed, there will be 52 issues, one for each week of the year. It is my goal, through Jacob Chronicles Kids, to bring children and their families together to build a solid Biblical foundation and to explore the Bible further as the trusted Word of God.
